Business Disputes
During his almost thirty years of practice, Karl Bayer has represented numerous businesses, big and small, in a variety of commercial disputes, including banks, steel and petrochemical companies, construction companies, real estate companies, software companies and physicians. As a mediator, he has helped businesses amicably resolve almost every type of dispute imaginable.
More recently, he has represented Texas business clients as their advocate in domestic and international arbitration proceedings, and he is regularily hired to serve as an arbitrator of business disputes. His experience with and understanding of arbitration law in Texas has made him sought-after as a both an advocate and as a speaker on this topic, and in the Spring of 2005 he presented a paper titled "Standards of Review as Applied to Arbitral Decisions" at the State Bar of Texas' Business Disputes and Litigation in the Digital Age seminar (link is to .pdf file).
