Welcome to Karl Bayer, Dispute Resolution Expert

Karl Bayer has been a sought-after speaker and writer on a variety of legal issues for almost twenty-five years, going all the way back to a 1983 article he wrote for the Vanderbilt Law Review titled "Federal Regulation of Emergent Genetic Technologies."

For the last five or so years, Karl Bayer and Rob Hargrove have co-written a number of CLE papers on topics such as electronic discovery, the potential liability of pharmacists, internet domain-name disputes, and, most recently, the quickly-developing caselaw governing arbitration. These arbitration papers, of which there are currently two with a third on the way, along with a growing practice representing clients in arbitration proceedings, inspired Karl and Rob to start Disputing, their frequently-updated weblog (or "blog") which discusses developments in this area of the law as they happen. Disputing, despite what some would consider a fairly arcane subject matter, has become more popular than Karl or Rob ever anticipated.

Karl and Rob also maintain, along with a couple other Austin arbitration specialists, a wiki which serves as a storehouse for up-to-date caselaw on legal issues surrounding arbitration. It is not available to the public, but if you're interested in contributing or having access please drop us a line.
